Portrait of Shanaz P. MobleyMy name is Shanaz P. Mobley and I am an Emerging Leader (Class of 2007) assigned to the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (ASAM), Office of Human Resources (OHR) in Washington, D. C.

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, I believe it important to acknowledge the historical connection between the HHS programs and the community. I serve as an advisory board member for the young professional board component, for the National Research Center for Women & Families. The National Research Center for Women & Families promotes the health and safety of women, children, and families, by using objective, research-based information to encourage new, more effective programs and policies. As a female who works for HHS, National Women's History Month serves as a constant reminder to me all of the professional and medical advances that women have made.
