Your HHS Learning Portal Has Improved!

HHS is excited to announce that the Department’s HHS Learning Portal has successfully transitioned from Saba Enterprise 5.3 to Saba Enterprise 5.4. The Saba Enterprise 5.4 system upgrade enables HHS Learning Portal users’ enhanced functionality, and performance, as well as incorporates more user-friendly interfaces. You should now be experiencing multiple system improvements that include:

  • The ability to use more searching, sorting and filtering options.
  • New curricula enrollment options, versioning enhancements, and user interface presentations.
  • Expanded certification tracking.
  • User profile and transcript enhancements.

Future enhancements to the HHS Learning Portal includes the ability to use behavioral competency indicators and to develop multiple “My Success Plans” that capture courses, goals, curricula, certifications and continuing education.

New Courses Available on the HHS Learning Portal!

SkillSoft has rolled out additional courses that are now available on the HHS Learning Portal. Effective June 2009, SkillSoft released Project Management courses for those interested in becoming certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI). SkillSoft offers approxi-mately 28 courses, simulations and test preparation covering 11 knowledge areas that are aligned to the PMBOK 4th Edition and are approved by PMI. Other SkillSoft releases as of July 2009 that support professional development are:
