Program Highlights

Center for Curriculum Management
Vickie Baldwin, Acting Director

The Center for Curriculum Management focuses on offering instructor-led training for individual employees to register and complete. Over 5,000 employees participate in more than 500 training classes annually.

Curricula at HHS University include: Acquisition, Administrative Systems, Business Skills, Career Planning and Retirement, Communication and Interpersonal Skills, EEO and Diversity, Information Technology, and Leadership and Management.

HHS University makes every effort to support accessibility to training for employees with disabilities. Operating Divisions are responsible for arranging transportation and accommodations, supplying interpreters, assuming all costs, and notifying HHS University at least two weeks before the first day of class in which the employee is registered. For assistance, please call HHS University at (301) 451-6810. Employees can search for courses and register by accessing the online Learning Management System from the HHS University website.

Leadership Development

Many possess the capacity for Leadership, but only those who cultivate it will become truly effective leaders. We encourage you to develop the leader in you by becoming an active participant in shaping your future, the future of others, and the future of HHS. With the new administration in place, consider registering for the following HHS University offerings:

Change Management: A Leadership Tool

Effective managers need to effectively manage the changes that occur in their organizations. This course will teach skills for managing change, both personal and professional, and will introduce techniques for successfully encouraging, implementing, and managing organizational change.

Leadership 101: Achieving Excellence

Regardless of title or position, leadership is everybody’s business and occurs at every level of the organization. This course identifies leadership characteristics and teaches practical skills that empower all personnel, not just those in supervisory or executive positions. This course is perfect for employees who want to develop and build leadership characteristics.
