Inclement Weather Policy

When there is inclement weather and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) announces Federal Government office closures, delays or unscheduled leave policy is in effect.
  1. If the Federal Government is closed, training classes are cancelled and will be rescheduled.
  2. If the Federal Government is open under delayed arrival of 2 hours or more, training classes are cancelled and will be rescheduled.
  3. If the Federal Government is open under delayed arrival of less than 2 hours, training classes will start late by the same amount of time as the delayed arrival and participants are expected to attend.
    • Classes may end later than scheduled, up to the same amount of time as they started late.
    • If participants do not attend, they will be counted as a no show on the attendance roster, and their agency will be charged for the class.

  4. If the Federal Government announces an unscheduled leave policy, all training classes will be held as scheduled and participants are expected to attend.
    • If participants do not attend, they will be counted as a no show on the attendance roster, and their agency will be charged for the class.
