Emerging Leaders Alumni Board

What is the Emerging Leaders Alumni Board?

The Emerging Leaders Alumni Board (ELAB) is a group of current and former Emerging Leaders who work together to promote and facilitate leadership development, networking, mentoring and information sharing.

How does the ELAB assist Emerging Leaders?

Networking:
The ELAB organizes social and professional meetings for Emerging Leaders to meet alumni Emerging Leaders, HHS Senior Leadership and other Federal Professional groups.
Leadership/Professional Development:
The ELAB sponsors brown bag sessions that target leadership competencies; developing institutional knowledge; and provide professional development opportunities.
Marketing:
The ELAB will be conducting a targeted marketing campaign to build on the "ELP Brand"; foster department-wide exposure to the program and identify future opportunities for former and current Emerging Leaders.
Mentoring:
The ELAB will sponsor brown bag sessions where current and former Emerging Leaders discuss their personal Emerging Leaders Program experiences and offer suggestions for navigating HHS while in the Emerging Leaders Program.

Why Should You Participate on the ELAB?

The ELAB is an excellent opportunity to:
  1. Network with Emerging Leaders and learn about HHS and the Emerging Leaders Program.
  2. Work with senior leadership in developing brown bag sessions; professional developmental programming and networking events.
  3. Identify and develop leadership knowledge, skills and opportunities.
  4. Make an impact on the HHS community!
